Being an indian kid, I have always lived in joint families, and moving to Ahmedabad was one of the biggest steps to take, but I had to do it because it was for my future. That is when I learned how to live with the limited resources, I learned ways to be creative and resourceful in finding solutions to the problems that I used to discuss with my parents. 

Honestly, living in a hostel has helped me be socially active. I was never like this, but now I have friends from different areas. As some of my friends live in a PG in Ahmedabad Navrangpura, and some of them are from a PG near paldi Ahmedabad. Before living in a hostel, I was a socially awkward person, which was even affecting me and my work, but living in a hostel has made me overcome that fear, and now I have many friends. 

Initially, I felt homesick, and overcoming that feeling was one of my biggest achievements. Overcoming this feeling needed significant strength that helped me to learn to sit with myself and build a life from scratch.
